The Colombian Plymouth Rock hen is a double-ended hen. This means she stays plump after laying, so you can be satisfied with a little more meat at the end of her career.
Really easy to raise, this hen will surprise you with the ease with which you can approach her from the very first moment you meet her. She's not the nervous type, but she's dominant in the hen flock. Her egg-laying is good and regular, but of course less intense than that of the commercial hen, and her eggs are large.
She's heavy and her plumage is very downy, so she's really very winter hardy.
