The double jointed Sprenger eggbutt bit is made of stainless steel. The oval-shaped rings rotate only on one axis of rotation which prevents pinching of the corner of the lips.
The double joint allows a better relaxation of the horse's mouth by a smooth transmission of commands. Indeed, unlike the single joint bit which acts on the palate which is a sensitive part of the horse's mouth, the double joint bit acts on the tongue without causing pain.
